REACH: the EU Chemicals Regulation
REACH means Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.
The REACH regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 by the European Union came into force on 1st June 2007 and replaces several former EU directives and regulations with a single, standardized system. The obligations set in this regulation have to be implemented gradually until 2018.
Information obligations in accordance with article 33
The aims of REACH are to improve the protection from risks caused by chemicals. For that reason, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has prepared a list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). These substances have severe and often irreversible effects on human beings and the environment. Every manufacturer and importer of products containing more than 0.1% by weight of any SVHC is obliged to inform their customers. This also applies if corresponding substances are not released under normal conditions of use.
We gladly fulfill this obligation.
The list below shows all our articles containing more than 0.1% by weight of any SVHC. The list will continuously be expanded as soon as we have received positive lists of our suppliers. The SVHC list's expansion by the ECHA will of course be taken into account.
