Perfect support for your PCAP Touch Application with the DMC DUS-Series

The DUS touch controllers are HID (human interface device) compliant:
connection and installation of the touch screen are as easy as connecting a mouse or keyboard via USB interface. The operating system uses the HID’s standard driver.
A new Linux open source driver for the DUS series is now available, which also supports Android O/S.
A new easy calibration tool makes fast and exact adjustments to all DUS touch screens.
Previously, DMC’s controllers were designed and developed by an outside company, which caused problems when customers required special features. So DMC decided to design and engineer this new line of DUS controllers on their own, enabling fast support for special applications (e.g. to rotate the touch screen by 180°, or to control the sensitivity of a touch contact.)

Special functions of the DUS-series:

DMC’s new firmware features a “Palm Rejection” function that distinguishes between intentional and false touches. This enables the touch screen to be used outside, for example, as rain is identified as a false touch.
DUS touch screens feature dual touch functionality that operates with a cover glass of up to 3mm thickness, though for special applications that thickness can be increased to 5mm.
DUS PCAP touchscreens can be operated while wearing gloves.

Based on the Innolux G154I1-LE1, Data Display Group’s engineers doubled the display’s brightness to 925cd/m². We also offer an Ultra Bright version with a heat sink, allowing for a higher brightness of 1250cd/m². Thanks to the latest LED chip technology, both TFTs are optimized for low power consumption.″
Our SmartLED Converter allows for control of the LED backlight and enables dimming from 0-100%. Together with our Prisma TFT controllers and an ambient light sensor, the backlight brightness automatically adapts to ambient light, guaranteeing power savings and easy readability. Touchable showcase products - transparent TFT Displays with PCAP Touch Screen

Due to a light transmission of 90% the touch screen hardly affects the transparency of the TFT display so that the image stays brilliant and the visibility of objects behind the display still is excellent.
The photo shows Samsung's 46″ LTI460AP01 with the Zytronic ZYBX46-0.0046 touch screen in operation in one of our office windows with a view of the neighboring building.

They chose several Brilan monitors with integrated PCs in sizes of 46″, 52″ and 70″ for installation in the departure and gate lounges, the terminal concourse and the security area. All monitors are installed in portrait mode and can show any amount of content, including video, still image and flash.
The switching of content can be synchronized on all Displays to create a consistent look. Of course the displays can either show airport information or advertising and are a high-quality eye-catcher for waiting passengers.
Since our digital signage monitors are in-house products we had no problems to create besproke mounting backets and frames to fit the airport furniture.

The Data Display Group’s high-bright G150XG01V3-V555 reaches a brightness of up to 1150cd/m², while the max-bright G150XG01V3-V555A improves that even further to a brightness of up to 2000cd/m². Our SmartLED converters enable the backlight to be dimmed from 0-100% and adjusted to all environmental conditions. Both TFTs offer a wide operating temperature range of -35° to 85°C (-31° to 185°F ), making them perfect for outdoor use.

The LED driving board is already integrated in the panel with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a brightness of typ. 300cd/m² and a viewing angle of 160°(h)/170°(v).
The TFT display is controlled by our PrismaMEDIA-eco board with HDMI 1.3a, DVI (via HDMI), DisplayPort 1.1a and VGA, which can be used either for industrial or multimedia applications. AUO 65″ Transparent TFT Display

This makes the new 65” AUO display perfect for use in shop windows, showcases, refrigerator/freezer cases or vending machines. This TFT-LCD offers Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and a wide viewing angle of 178°(v)/178°(h). Because the display is transparent, it has no backlight as brightness and contrast depend on ambient lighting conditions. The photo shows AUO’s P650HVF01.0 in one of our office windows with a view of the neighboring building. AUO also offers the P500HVF01.0, a 50″ (127cm) version of this display. Programmable GUI - Graphical User-Interface for Touch

The existing microcontrollers usually don’t have a graphical interface and a complete change of the machine’s controls is complex and costly. This is exactly where our newly developed controller for the new GUI extension applies. To equip simple machine controls with a graphical user interface and Touch without extensive redesign, we designed the ArtistaGUI graphic controller. ArtistaGUI is serially connected to the machine control in place by means of the widely-used Modbus-RTU-Protocol and can therefore transmit instructions and read data for the display. Users can continue to utilize the control already in place without any constraints. With dimensions of only 105 x 90 mm, the small and easy to implement ArtistaGUI-device supports LCD panels with resolutions of up to 800 x 600 (SVGA) with 18/24 Bit LVDS- or TTL interface. Already implemented on the assembly is a controller for 4-wire resistive touch sensors. P-Cap-touches may also be connected. Other product features include an integrated LED backlight driver, the power supply via 12 V DC as well as an SD card for the application programs. Programming is easily possible using a WYSIWYG editor and the scripting language QT Quick. Data, such as commands or measuring values, are serially exchanged between machine control and GUI by the Modbus protocol. As the service supplier we offer complete design of the graphical interface as well as adaptations of the protocol to the particular application.

Before this advancement, users only had control via the external OSD (on screen display) menu or IR (infrared) remote control. This also means that an additional data cable is no longer required, considerably simplifying system setup.

The MCCS defines a protocol provided by the graphics drivers and allows the following data settings – allowing for a true Plug & Play experience:

• Factory Preset commands for restoring factory settings: color, geometry, brightness, contrast, picture-in-picture and more
• Color adjustment controls: color temperature, color shade, and saturation
• Geometry adjustment commands: horizontal and vertical image positioning and image resizing
• Image settings: display alignment, Gamma control , zoom, focus, backlight and more There are two possibilities for controlling the MCCS:

• Using a complete application (see screenshot)
• Using a programming library and developing customized software

The IPS Technology prevents contrast and color shift even from extreme viewing angles, which makes this display a good choice also for medical applications.
Of course we offer the corresponding controller solution for this display, too: due to HDMI (DVI via HDMI), Displayport and VGA our PrismaMEDIA-eco is the perfect controller board for industrial and multimedia applications. This board has an audio option and supports HDCP which allows showing protected videos without any problems.
